Hadrian's Wall Trail

It rained again, on and off all day. I went to Go Outdoors to look for summer walking trousers - they did not have my size in the ones I wanted so I've ordered them online tonight.

On my way home I passed this section of Hadrian's Wall Trail. It's east of the A68 and quite a flat route so it's often thought a bit boring. At the moment there are one or two hay meadows doing well so I stopped to capture the view. There is a lot of dock and sorrel in this meadow, hence the reddish colours. The plants here seem to be enjoying the rain........

No Wall remains at this point.
