Bye Castle
And so it comes to an end. Our last out of school holidays summer holiday is complete. We can now forget about the ridiculously early mornings and put the rose tinted glasses on and remember it as a lovely week, which in fact without the early starts it was.
The castle was fantastic, it gave us a really comfortable base that was homely and meant we were not desperate to get out and about each day. I felt terrible owning up to the broken hook and ripped bath mat when we handed our keys back. Luckily our host was far too busy working out how he was going to get to the festival to be too worried about our minor issues, especially as we had left a replacement bath mat.
After we took the oligatory end of holiday photo (here is last years, it was not quite as decorated) we managed to get the little ones to their favourite park on the way to the ferry and thankfully the boats were pretty much running to schedule unlike yesterday when the festival transport madness hit the island.
Once home the little ones were pleased to see their toys again and got staight into to playing with them and when we went to the park they were even more pleased to see their friends.
