Cat Shark Eggs
Baby had napped well at nursery today which meant both little ones were wide awake for the start of daddy day today. Toddler got a finger injury in a shop playing with a toy phone which did not make her at all happy.
On the way to the aquarium we stopped on the common so that Baby could have a crawl, climb and slide around and so I could have tea. This did not make Toddler very happy t all either though after a few yoghurty raisins she came around.
Once at the aquarium we had a lot of fun. The zebra shark that was being sent away for some sort of arranged marriage was still there due to a tank problem and transport issues. This means it will be in Pompey for another month, surprisingly even Toddler was pleased about this. The sharks were being fed and for the first time she enjoyed watching them without fear. In fact there was only one point she did not like this time in the entire aquarium which meant we had much more fun. On the way out we saw an underwater washing line of Cat Shark eggs that look like they will hatch soon. As the eggs were transparent with the babies moving about in them, they were the strangest things. It reminded me of the pregnancy scans when out two were being cooked, though ours were better looking.
After a spot of otter watching we headed to the park to see friends. Toddler was milking the sore finger a bit and spent most of the time claiming she could not use her whole hand. However the more she played the more she forgot and the more it got used, confirming my suspicions that it was not that bad. Every day she seems to be getting more like me.
