Chilly patterns

It's one of those departing on holiday days. Too many things to do at the last minute; a few things forgotten but retrieved in time; a few things forgotten but not really mattering.

and then off to the airport - this time Glasgow. What was slightly galling. Was that - like yesterday - Scotland was basking in glorious warm sunshine in still air. To be cooped up in a car and then an airport and then an aircraft was a bit harsh. Especially as the forecast on the Algarve for the weekend and beyond is, to say the least, patchy.

No matter. We're on holiday.

The flight was marred by one of those confident Glaswegians who thought himself amusing but was just irritating. His decibels were so loud that most of the plane could hear him. He mouthed off about a number of topics until someone a few feet away let rip. Tension was high but fortunately dissipated apart from some lover level rumblings.

Otherwise navigating the complexities of the traffic signing system and finding shopping open was the biggest challenge.

The blip could have been a number of airport related activities. However I liked this of the delicate ice patterns forming on the window pane at 30,000 ft!
