Fog On The Rhein/Rhine
Didn't have much time to blip today. This was taken just after 7 this morning when I noticed that the Rhein was covered by low lying fog.
After that it was a pretty constant flow of telephone calls and quite a lot of people being quite surprised at getting some really helpful answers. That was an excellent way to end the week.
I've also been havng a look at where I'm off to Monday. I'm at a conference again and this time it's in the city of Münster. Notice that it's a "ü" and not "u", so I'm not off to Ireland
I'm sure that the first thing that springs to your mind is the crazy Anabaptist Rebellion way back in 1534. But I'm sure things have changed quite a bit since then.
In other, more schocking news, there appears to be no more HP sauce in Hessen. You can get all the new variations of it like Smoky or Barbecue or Honey, but the original has disappeared from the shops. It's no longer in Tegut, Rewe or Karstadt. I could go down to Real tomorrow but it's shut like everything else.
My Würstchen im Brötchen will not taste the same.
Which reminds me of signs that I used to see in Edinburgh. It's very Edinburgh but I'm sure that you can still find places that will advertise "Roll on sausage". They'll also have Roll on Bacon, Roll on Black pudding and many others. It's not the Queen's English by any stretch of the imagination, but it makes me happy.
