Bulls at dawn...

First job of the day was to rodeo a cow and calf in as the calf hadn't sucked. then sent 3 off to empty a trailer load of wee straw bales next door while I loaded and stacked the last 150 here.
The weather took a daft turn with mist/black cloud rolling in and it looked like it was set to rain. By lunch time it had blown over and the sun was out again.
By 3pm it was dry enough to bale the last of the barley straw. Now only 11 acres of oats to bale, hopefully tomorrow.
The vet here to take blood from 5 bullocks as part of the annual BVD test. Fingers crossed they are all negative or we will need to test all the calves over 9 months old -about 200.
Went away down the road for a load of straw tonight, just to keep my hand in. The nights are drawing in,had the lights on coming home at 8pm.
