Sumo Surprise

Archie and I met Rufus and his mum out on their early morning walk. Normally, it's a quick whiz round the block and back home for breakfasts all round, but this morning we accompanied Rufus and his mum down to the Meadows for a longer stroll. In the distance I could see an odd person walking along the path. An odd, rather large person... Wearing what appeared to be not much at all!

Rufus's mum knew all about it. It was a sumo wrestler. A blow-up sumo wrestler, arriving for the charity run. So I had to go and have a look after I'd deposited Archie back home. And what fun it was. They had a 'mass inflation' where everyone blew up their sumo suits, then they did some warm up exercises, then they were off on a 5k run round the Meadows. I imagine they startled quite a few people! It was quite a sight.

Archie was looking out the window, then he started yelping and crying and scratching at the door to get out. Yes, it was his borrowers, Kerri and Luke, who haven't been for several weekends, but he went crazy, which is nice for them to feel appreciated.

Need to start getting organised for our adventure on Friday. I shall make a list.

And we won't mention the rugby...
