Half way
Today we drove through France in a loose convey with DS#1 and Charlotte A. I enjoyed having to stop off for DS#1 to have to refuel in his gas guzzler and refrain from doing so myself.
As ever a couple of hours to spare so we went to the beach in the coast near Calais that Is still quite unspoilt. 600 miles in 10 hours is the journey.
For a variant we spent the night with Wellington friends who now work in Canterbury - this Norman staircase is part of their school buildings. The school was founded in about 700 AD (ish) and so this staircase must be one of the newer buildings.....
