Bones (Lake Hawea)

This was a tree many years ago when the lake level was raised to make it a source of water for Hydro generation downstream. For our overseas readers most of N.Z.’s electricity comes from renewable sources.
 Because there is considerable snow melt yet to flow into this lake and we are also predicted to have El Nino conditions (wet and windy) this summer, the lake has been deliberately run down by the electricity generators to allow max benefit storage later and wonderful photographic opportunities present themselves. 

The Boss and Piano Lady diverted from the normal trail on the hill behind to capture this and of course The Boss’s mouse got into the act.

AND of course ice creams were involved at the end of day. 
The line for Coffee was toooo long.  And ME…Asleep in the bark of Suzz.
