Ha, no, not quite so disturbing - it's the Famous Five!
Max and I started to read this tonight and I did need to suppress a bit of laughter more than a few times through chapters 1 and 2 :-)
What was Enid Blyton on?
And just how old are these 'children'?
Just shows how times, and language, have changed.
