Other teas are available

It's the time of year when the light and weather conditions conspire to make finding a blip even more of a challenge. The great weather of the past week came to an end overnight; we woke to a grey autumnal day, the sort we'll be getting used to over the coming months.

We were out fairly early taking a car for its service and MOT and had our breakfast when we arrived back. I went swimming then did a little pottering around before lunch.

To pick the car up we decided to walk to the garage, collecting some tea in town from Marks and Spencers - which provided the opportunity for today's blip.

It was pleasant to spend the evening in rather than turn out after dinner for a walk. We still have some courgettes and a few mushrooms so we had courgette risotto, topped with feta, back olives, parsley and coriander with yesterday's Apple Betty to follow.
