Up on the roof.

They were here at 8am.
Our fingers were crossed all day, praying it wouldn't rain.
They managed to get the stone slates and felt off, replace some of the wood, and replaced the roofing felt, by 3.30pm. Made it watertight, and then the heavens opened and we had a real downpour !

How lucky was that!
We need one or two new slates, which they are hoping to find somewhere. Need to be "old" to blend in with the others. It has to be in keeping, as our cottage is Grade two listed.
At least we are dry at the moment!
Just hoping tomorrow will be fine.

By the way, my title was a song recorded by the Drifters in 1962 !
