Any ideas.
This little flower reminded me of Micky Mouse. I think it is because it looks as if it has two ears.
Not sure what it is, but it may be a type of salvia. ( see extra photo)
It was very dainty and unusual, but I loved it.
Spotted in Golden Acre Park, Leeds., where we met MrC's brother and his wife .
First time I have had my winter coat on, as although it was sunny it was quite cool.
A nice walk round the flower garden and vegetables plots.
Looking very backendish now. Very different from how it looked only a month ago ( see blip 8th Sept)
This was a pity as G&J hadn't been before.
Lunch in the cafe. I chose the wrong thing. Yorkshire pudding and onion gravy, wasn't very good. MrC's soup was better, and also the bacon sandwiches.
Back home and they had started cutting down the cherry tree next door.
The roots have started to come up in their lawn, and the branches were nearly touching our bedroom window.
They did ask if we minded, and we said "No".
It is lovely when it flowers for a few weeks in spring, but the rest of the year it just blocks the light.
Now it has gone the bedroom and lounge are a lot lighter, and we can see the copper beach tree which was behind it. That is also going to have a trim as it is also getting too big. They have to get permission though as that tree is listed.
In spring the area is full of snowdrops and daffodils, and F wants to plant a wild flower meadow there, but I don't think it will work as it is very dry soil, and under the trees.
She wants some colour for summer, so I will have to see what I can come up with.
Anyone any ideas?
