Wakehurst Place

We were so lucky with the weather today, at least for 90% of the time! It poured in the morning, then stopped when we went out and visited Wakehurst Place, the gardens near Haywards Heath owned by Kew Gardens.

They were looking stunning already, although we know from previous visits when we lived near here that the best is yet to come:-). We wrapped MIL up in blankets in a borrowed wheelchair and she loved the range of colours and the fresh air.

Back in the car safely, the rain started on the way home and hasn't really stopped since, so we got a bit wet getting into the house! We can hear it crashing on the roof now, so hope it's all rained out by the morning:-).
