Birthday Breakfast

It's my husband's birthday today and his choice for breakfast was scrambled eggs on toast. These are the eggs the cottage owners left for us and we were very surprised to see the variety in the box!

The huge blue ones are from Old Cotswold Legbars, the tiny one from a pullet and the others from ordinary hens. They made lovely golden scrambled eggs:-)

Drove to Eastbourne today to take MIL shopping for odds and ends and what a saga that was! Trying to find the Shopmobility office, we first parked in the wrong car park and had to pay to get out. Once in the correct car park, the disabled parking bays were at the opposite end of the car park from the Shopmobility office, where I wanted to hire a wheelchair. What numpty designed that facility?

Hope none of you ever become disabled and need to use a wheelchair, as disabled facilities in this country are just appalling. You only realise this when you have need of them!

Left Eastbourne and drove up to Beachy Head, as we'd never been there before, but it was so wild, wet and windy that I only managed a couple of quick snaps before getting back to the warmth of the car.

Cooking a birthday tea tonight for my husband, so hope he enjoys it:-)
