Fly past
Tuesday, town day. Dirk was up with the lark, before the lark in fact to go to the abbatoir to check on some cattle, I elected not to go (strange that), and went in later meeting him at 9 for coffee ahead of our busy day. Immigration and baby swimming, strange mix.
As Gill hand I left, John was getting ready to go flying and gave us a little display as we drove along, including a very low fly past from behind the car. He scared the wits out of the people hitching a lift as we drove along and I can't say my eyes were entirely on the road. These are two of his planes, he's building another in what is affectionately known as 'the aircraft factory'. It's also a fact on Dornoch that if it isn't an aircraft, it's very much second place.
Stamps in passports today and then back into town tomorrow for more immigration and to apply the 'the' stamp in my passport. A slightly painful process, but I'm pretty certain it's more straight forward (and cheaper) than trying to get the same stamp to live in the UK.
A very tired family Dudman tonight. Thankfully the boy has, for the past two nights only woken once, so fingers crossed that continues.
