Our first Yellow Eyed Penguin

An odd day which didn't start well when I tripped and fell flat out. We were heading for Invercargill and a flight to Stewart Island which meant leaving the house at 6.00 am and it was dark. We arrived in plenty of time for the flight but sadly due to the wind it was cancelled. We decided not to wait to see the state of play later and back to the city for breakfast. And another look at the Catlins along the coast road. A wonderful day after a very disappointing start. We are off to Dunedin for the next week and fingers crossed there will be wifi available in the house.

If the extra works: snails in the sand, we think a wild clematis?
