San Francisco De Asis Church . . .

Rancho De Taos, New Mexico.

One of the oldest churches in America dedicated to San Francisco de Asis.  Built between 1813 and 1815 -not very old for the blippers in Europe.  It is an example of adobe mission architecture.  Earlier we had seen the church in the extras.  It was in the little village of Las Trampas which was founded in 1751 by 12 families from Santa Fe.  It is called the church of San Jose de la Gracia and was built between 1760 and 1776. Also as an extra is the side view of the 1st church.  Coming from a country where it rains a lot we are fascinated to see these thick adobe structures.
