don't ask ....
Most mornings - and today is no exception - I wake with absolutely no idea what I am going to blip. My mind is a complete blank, blip-wise. It’s full of other stuff, but there’s nothing even remotely photographic going on.
I know other people feel the same, because sometimes I’ll see a shot of a breadboard taken just before midnight, with the caption ‘emergency blip’.
And then once in a while the blip-fairies intervene and something so absurd and yet so wonderful falls into your lap. Or rather, onto your dining table.
At breakfast this morning, in place of my usual cereals and coffee, I find Anniemay with her hands behind her back, clasping her ankles. There’s no time or need for explanations; what can she possibly say anyway?
Her camera is not far away. I grab it from the tripod.
It turns out she is not the only one. Other people are posting images of themselves in a similar fashion - though none to my knowledge on a dining room table. I don’t ask and I don’t want to know. Somethings are best left alone.
