infinity

Fantastic weather today making a change from the last few days; hopefully it'll be like this tomorrow.

Tidied up a couple of loose ends including finally reassembling a 135mm f2.5 Pentax M (non-SMC) and fixing infinity on my favourite 50mm f1.4 Pentax M. Let's see... what's nearly at infinity? A handy 777: ~80 pixels on the raw image, APS-C sensor, ~6000 pixels diagonally, 12° FoV for 135mm. The 777 is 65m long so using the small angle approximation we get 65/(80/6000) ~= 5000m. It must be cold up there today.

+2/3 came home with her clarinet today. Promising but needs some work. It reminded me of geese calling :)
