Soft purple

In the drizzly patch between the rain and the rain I went looking for Blast's 2012 challenge word for this week - something 'soft'. (Other than soft rain - a given. Or soft light which, in the absence of sun, is also a given.)

My pictures were almost all classic deletables: the soft grasses were undefined, the soft fennel looked spiky, soft focus just looked blurred and the emotionally soft (cute swans) have already been done much better by everyone else. Even soft colours mostly just looked washed out.

Apart from this 'soft' purple - mauve roses, mauve sheets, mauve peg and mauve - erm - lightshade. I thought, with the lightshade outside and the washing in the rain, that it could also count as moderately soft in the head. Or p'raps that was just me.
