Mesh

Another day at the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival but before heading off for any more tricks with fire, tandems, trampolines or slackropes, I had a blipmeet with Normie, whose fantastic photos of Greenwich always make me homesick. She's as good to spend time with as her photos are, and we nattered for almost two hours - not bad for two people who've only ever met on Blipfoto. Cheers, Normie!

This one of hers  is what was behind me when I took yesterday's, and I've realised yesterday's was a copy of one of another of hers, so I've added a link to it.

Over the last two-and-a-bit days I've seen masses of great street theatre and a lot of the time I was watching it rather than concentrating on getting my camera settings right for the movement or the light. But the performance this blip comes from was slow enough for me to think about the camera and was very, very strange: six people acrobatically fighting over houseplants for an hour. Although I like the oddness of this picture the show was nothing like as good as a quite different but less photogenic performance about being a new mum called 'Push' by Tangled Feet. Their fun and games with buggies (strollers) brought everything back and had me alternately laughing at the lunacy and fatigue of those years and weeping for all the struggles to remember who I was (you were/we were) before being colonised by small people's needs.
