Mont Blanc Range and an alpine meadow.

It was one of those perfect mornings and an alpine start to go on a local hut walk to the Cabane de la Torche. The view towards the Mont Blanc Range from the ridge is exceptional with the deep cleft of the Rhone Valley 1,600m below. We were lucky to get this view, 15 minutes later the clouds came in and we had a cold, windy walk to a welcome cup of tea at the new cabane.
