Feeding time
Lunch and dinner time are officially fun - and messy, but most of all fun. Firm favourites are developing and others go into the bin when tried and cast aside - waiting for his sneaky mother to try again in about week.
So far, the in foods are:
Butternut squash
Sweet potato
Apple
Pear
Apple or pear mixed with prunes and apricots
The latter is by far the outright winner, sad, as both his parents have taken quite a liking to it as well.
In the 'try again another day' list:
Banana - which I thought would be a winner
Carrots
Beetroot
The freezer has quite a few little tupperware pots of beetroot in it right now, so let's hope he develops a liking for it.
Today we went to the University that happens to be across the road to take them some books, and ended up having a drink with the Vice-Chancellor. It wasn't quite like the University I used to work for, but it was incredibly well cared for. We were also asked by the Vice-Chancellor to pray with him just before we left, which is a first. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if they really wanted our cast off books for their library, however the waste-not want-not Zim culture is hard to shake and they took them quite happily.
There is a heat-wave on it's way with temperatures of 45 degrees due apparently, that, is something I'm not looking forward to and right now a slightly damp England seems oh so attractive. We shall instead make use of the neighbours pool over the weekend which should help keep us cool.
