Up early to catch a coach to Alexander Palace for the annual Knitting & Stitching show.
Lots of stalls and plenty to buy - and yes I did come with quite a few bags of things.
There is always an exhibition, this year it was displaying some items that had been at the National Quilting Show at the NEC. I went to this show but spent most of the time shopping, so hadn't been able to look in detail at this entry - chess. Each character had so much detail in - (top left) the knight's face screwed up was comical; (top right and bottom left) the two pawns, were two elderly ladies; and (bottom right) the rook with a cigar in one hand, glass in the other and bunny rabbit fluffy slippers! Brilliant.
A good, if but long day (traffic bad coming home from North London) with great company and lovely purchases.
