Oxford
Today I went to Oxford to visit Daniel. It was so good to see him, even though he's only been back there a week! We had a lovely lunch and chat, a little walk around Oxford, then he cycled off to get back to studying.
No studying for me, so I headed off in search of the cows in Christ Church meadows instead! I walked by the river, then started to walk by the stream back towards town and suddenly caught a glimpse of a blue and realised it was a kingfisher! I was so excited, and couldn't believe my eyes, as I hadn't seen a kingfisher since I was a child. It was perched on a branch for minute and I was desperately trying to get photos of it, which are all a bit rubbish, fuzzy and out of focus...but I might not see another for 30 years! I was cross though, when a man, who looked like a gardener came along in his loud, little vehicle and frightened it away. It made my day though and I'm sure Daniel won't mind me putting a picture of a kingfisher on here, instead of him! (I'll pop him in my 'extras'!)
Many apologies for lack of comments., ..hope to catch up later!
