a summer evening in the dunes

this week, i finally got to show my new home off to my dear friend jesse. late june alongside the great lakes is becoming somewhat of a tradition for us, so it was natural to spend one of our evenings together at the sleeping bear dunes national lakeshore. a beautiful hike through the dunes and along the beach followed by a sunset picnic - bread and cheese, salad, and wine. as the sky darkened we nearly fell asleep on the beach, having to coax ourselves back to the car and towards home.
