Outrage!

This is a bit naughty of me but I am appalled by this piece of sheer vandalism.
We have a recently arrived new neighbour.

In the centre of his front garden srood a glorious, specimen cherry tree, 25 to 30 feet tall and at keast 20 years old. In spring and early summer each year this tree was a glorious mass of pink flowers, as well as providing a refuge and roost for wild birds.
It was truly one of the jewels of the entire neighbourhood, something to be cherished, protect and admired.

Just look at what he has done to it with a chain saw!!!

It is an undelievable act of destruction, for motives that I shall never understand. I cannot talk to him about it -just amazed and outraged.
