Evening on the Orari Gorge

My brother in law is down from Auckland for a visit, so this evening, before heading out to a fancy dress 50th party in the village, we headed round the road to the Orari Gorge.

If you check out the larger version, TJ is just about visible on the bank on the right hand side of the image ; he spotted a nice little rainbow trout (maybe a couple of pounds) circling in the deeper waters below the rapids.

I might have to return with a rod and reel some day with my Dad next time he's over from Europe.
