Tom's tail

This is Tom in the garden I planted out a few weeks ago. It is full of varied flowery plants that should have some colour all year. Soon it will be tall enough for Tom to hide in. Sometimes all you can see is his tail or nose poking out through the greenery.

We have had varied weather today while the ( great) race is on. The wet weather plays havoc with the decision to put on wet or dry weather tyres, which often makes all the difference to whether you win or lose. Just to finish is an honour. Just to drive around the course at that speed is amazing. Two are in hospital after spectular crashes in the lead up races. The town is like a big parking lot, 200,000 people have entered over the last couple of days. traffic out tonight is crazy as many try to go home all at the same time.
We are heading off on a long car trip tomorrow for my work. I hope to get some pictures of the western plains.
