A Day in the Life.......

Overnight we sailed to Zeebrugge - the nearest port to Bruges. It was rainy and dull this morning and Bruges is a half hour taxi ride away. Or an expensive coach ride booked through Cunard which drops you a twenty minute walk away from the town centre.
So we decided not to bother!
Instead we enjoyed an early room service breakfast, a later proper breakfast, Scrabble in the Commodore Club (Me: 369, Mr K: 308. Just saying!!), all you can eat lunch in the Lido, cocktails and reading in the Commodore and more Scrabble (Unfinished due to overeating, too many cocktails and an overwhelming urge to take an afternoon nap!)
We fell asleep, woke up feeling a little rough and discovered we'd missed the sail away (and seeing the tanker that had sunk after colliding with a container ship just before we got there this morning!) and were heading way from Zeebrugge for our last night's sailing. Heading home.
We went back to the Commodore for some pre-dinner cocktails to perk us up!!
