Back-blip 3 of 10…..

Day 1 of the European Majorettes Baton Twirling Competition at Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy. One of the other Dads knows that I play the Trombone so suggested we put together a supporter's band. Foolishly I said go on then. Rob and Barry drove the van from Bristol with all the props and accessories, together with my trombone, a drum, a pair of clash cymbals and various noisy percussion instruments. I'd written out a selection of suitable tunes and with two rehearsals under our belt we gave it our best shot, noting that neither Rob or Barry had never played a musical instrument before(!!). To be fair it went pretty well and gave the team an extra boost before their performances.
