Milky Way

With 100 Billion (plus) stars calling it "home," the Milky way is but a single, nondescript, middle-aged galaxy among 100 Billion (plus) others.  I finally got out to the nearby "boondocks" to try shooting a digital image of the Milky Way for the first time.  Despite traffic all around and my relative close proximity to town, this image turned out right well and leaves me excited to do more nighttime photography.
