Braces of Maces

Braces of maces stand all in their places protecting their home, below.  I find myself squinting at all sorts of tiny things these days, thanks to Blipfoto!  As soon as I spotted this cactus--a not terribly remarkable or uncommon barrel variety--my first thought was, "I wonder what its spine clusters look like up close....really close!"
