Daisy
It's always good to see daisies in the lawn, as it's proof that the grass is growing. And while that might mean mowing the lawn for some, for Farmers it means that with the grass growing, we will have enough grass for the cows to eat for a little while longer. And with El Nino promising to rare its ugly head, that's good news.
It was lightly drizzling when we got up to milk at 4.40am. But the drizzle
didn't last long, and by the time we got home for breakfast, the sun was trying to come out. Come 2pm, it was trying to rain, and tonight its getting a wee bit heavier.
First day back at school was busy - as expected. Just catching up on all the e-mails (and mail) was a marathon effort. Now that is done, tomorrow will (hopefully) be a more productive day. And it was great to catch up with students again, and hear all about their holidays.
