The First Ice

As autumn advances the frosty nights continue and there’s always a morning when you wake up to a thin skim of ice on a local lake.
Today was the day, although I’m actually 300 km further north than usual and this is a lake that forms the centrepiece of Umeå university.  I’m here for a couple of days, talking about the practical interface between teaching and IT, and more specifically about Kaltura, the new(ish) media streaming tool adopted by many Swedish universities.
As you can see the beautiful high pressure weather continues....
