Peephole

The forest is very beautiful but it also hides a lot.  Here a gap in the forest is revealing the lake and this autumn view.
There was a hard frost last night, -5°C, and this morning the world was that pale white the frost creates as it covers everything in a thin blanket of ice.  As the sun came up the frost melted where the sunlight shone but anywhere not reached by the sun remained frosty until the end of the day, and the new frost.
This picture is from our morning walk which was short because I was leading a workshop in the middle of the day. After the workshop we drove into town, walked again, and then ate dinner with Rose followed by the usual Wednesday evening film studio.
Film Studio is also a sort of peephole, revealing a (usually) excellent film that I have never heard of! This week the film was "A Bigger Splash" which I really enjoyed.  It felt "dated" in a classic way and I learned it was a "loose remake" of a 1969 French crime drama, LA PISCINE. Afterwards I saw the film received mixed reviews with most critics either loving or hating it, but I'd definitely recommend it.
This is a backblip posted a day late.  Today's blip will be going up very shortly.
