One Of Many That Didn't Get Away

I visited Fishers Green this afternoon and went to check out the Norman's Pond area for bugs. A few pretty little devil's bit scabious were still in bloom but only attracting flies. 

I had a long and interesting chat in the Bittern Hide with a psychotherapist. He had glimpsed the bittern earlier and we hoped it would reappear. It didn't. I've had to Blip its much more common cousin, a grey heron. It's amazing how many fish they get through, it must have caught at least eight during the course of our conversation. When it took off and defecated I was able to tell psycho man its shitepoke nickname.
