investigations of a dag

topsy turvy

was impressed with these wee girls tumbling over each of the bike stands outside the newly opened commonwealth pool. My niece Nyree tried this manoeuvre in an asda car park recently and was rewarded with a bad cut from a loose flake of metal, but these guys were fine sliding over the newly polished aluminium. They were pretty dizzy by the end though. I was on the phone to my mum catching up when I took this. I was meaning to go for a swim but by the time we'd stopped gabbing pool was closed. Oops.

Been studying all day but popped out for the swim and bumped into a very old friend I hadn't really seen in years. Think we met when we were the same age as these wee girls. Since that time GG has moved to Oz and back, got married to an ex-school pal (after meeting by chance in Oz), moved back to the UK (now Edinburgh) and three weeks ago had a gorgeous wee baby girl Aimee who is the double of her mum. Lovely to see her and her husband out and about and coping well. Wee Aimee feeds well and dozed right through our coffee. Caffeine seemed an appropriate impromptu gift for the new parents.
