Ripples

A very enjoyable evening at the book club - no-one apart from the woman who had recommended the book had managed to get to the end, but she took us through it gently and explained what it was all about and how the novel had been structured. Apparently perseverance is rewarded. As we were all chatting and nibbling crisps a fox suddenly jumped onto the outside window ledge and gazed in!  An alternate universe might have been glimpsed!

We went for a whizz around the circuit. The day had been grey but it suddenly became luminous -the sea itself might do as an abstract thursday entry? I might be pushing my luck. Great for skimming though.
