A MIMent In Time

Slats of sunshine

Splendid Sunday :]

Woke up rather later than planned this morning, but thankfully not too late so off to church it was with Fee & Alastair :] Really enjoyed being back after a couple of weeks of being away and particularly enjoyed singing "Come People of the Risen King" and reflecting on what the words mean.

Then a post-church wander through Edinburgh before returning back to the flat :]

Chilled dinner and afternoon of reading before returning back to the city for the evening service which was wonderful! It was done a little differently tonight - "in reverse" - starting with the sermon and then finishing with a time of singing & prayer. The sermon was on Galatians 5v1-12 and one of those sermons which seemed to fall at just the right time :] Then the response time of music & prayer after was equally refreshing :]

Finally decided to take a walk up Calton Hill, originally with the intent of catching the sunset. However, it quickly transpired that I would be in a long wait for that to happen! So instead I walked around (and around!) snapping various photos, including this one :]

Relaxed, refreshed and looking forward to the week ahead :]

""Come, those whose joy is morning sun,
And those weeping through the night;
Come, those who tell of battles won,
And those struggling in the fight.
For His perfect love will never change,
And His mercies never cease,
But follow us through all our days
With the certain hope of peace."
