Risley Moss

After a really hectic week at work in Sweden this week, I took the opportunity to go out for a walk somewhere new and relax this afternoon.
I visited the nature reserve at Risley Moss which is only 20 minutes drive from where I live.
The Woodland hide was very busy with a steady stream of noisy children, their parents and sometime their dogs, so I had to be very patient to see anything apart from squirrels.
There was no sign of the woodpecker that people tell me is normally around, but I guess that's not surprising.
The highlight for me, although the picture is not so sharp, were the two long tailed tits. I've never seen them before, even though I am sure they must be quite common in some areas, so I was quite excited!
