Princes Street Gardens

Our first day in Edinburgh with Katkatkat .  Clickychick had arranged to meet a school friend who was also visiting her children.   The arrangement was to meet in the cafe of the Portrait Gallery.  After a long "catch up" session we had lunch followed by an enjoyable wander round the BP portraits competition entries.

We followed this by heading for the David Bailey exhibition.  However due to a recent incident which has had a temporary effect on her health Katkatkat didn't feel up to wandering round the exhibition so she and I enjoyed the cafe while CC visited the exhibition.

This was the view which greeted us as we strolled out into the afternoon sunshine.
