Two for joy

Today's the day ........................... to head south

We saw these two magpies first thing this morning on our way to the station - so I was hopeful that a joyful day would follow.

We were travelling south to London for a very special event which will happen on Tuesday.  And the journey was lovely because we were travelling first class - not because we were splashing out, but believe it or not, because they were cheaper than second class?!

Then we watched that  rugby match in the Wellington at Waterloo - and although the game was very entertaining, the result definitely wasn't what we wanted.

Ah well - so much for the 'two for joy' theory ...................
