The start...

... Of the celebrating of her 6th birthday is upon her. Us. Today was the church celebration part of it. Everyone gets a crunchie in church on their birthday. And every child gets a birthday gift and card from their Sunday school group. She was very excited that it was Crunchie Day!

Church had come after a bike ride and a really good swim. She's a bit obsessed with butterfly now! I was helping in Sunday school, so that was fun. We made a "proper" Sunday dinner for lunch. Not normally a big deal but a little more impressive this week as our (brand new) oven is broken. Three days before her birthday. Sighhhh. Anyway, we had lunch and then had a great, chilled out afternoon at home. I had lots of tutu sewing to do, but we flitted between that and playing, dancing, singing, reading, piano....
