What A Beaut
We had a real breakthrough day at the allotment today. The shed is finally finished, with downpipes attached, and wooden strips fitted to the roof, in a bid to secure the roof felt in wind. We tidied up the edges around the shed and dug out ready to make a raised flower bed. We were plagued by horribly big mozzies the whole time we were up there, but definitely achieved loads in the three hours we were there.
We'd be stuffed without my Mum's help, so it was nice she was free for the rest of the day to hang out and have some more relaxing time together. We came back to ours and warmed up with a cuppa and the rugby before wandering along the river for a couple of drinks on the quay whilst watching the boats. We got back just in time for the excellent Scotland v Australia match and were cheering the Scots on over our tea. The one-point defeat couldn't ruin our mood, and we played a spot of rugby ourselves with a melon in the kitchen; something that had my Mum in stitches!
