Old And New

This morning I woke up in Washington DC where the sky was blue and the air was cold! I didn't wander far - only a couple of blocks away to have breakfast. But I must remember to bring a coat on my next trip here. When I was here a couple of weeks ago it was almost too hot for me!

I love to see the juxtaposition of traditional and modern architecture side by side. There's plenty of beautiful traditional colonial American architecture in Washington DC, but it never seems to be spoilt by the very modern city that surrounds it.
