A walk around the block
Great start to my week with a lovely long walk. . I do meet some interesting people out walking and today was no exception. I was stopped by a lady asking for directions to a youth housing association home funded by the Salvation army. I know this place exists as every time the teen falls out he says he should go and live at the foyer!
Anyway back to the lady in distress. Well not quite distressed but lost definitely lost! I pointed her in the right direction and offered to walk with her, which I think she was pleased about! She told me she was going for an interview but didn't think she would get the job because she had an accent and teens being teens wouldn't take her seriously. I asked where her accent was from and she explained she was Italian but learnt English in Poland! I detected the Italian and thought she could possibly be Rumanian so maybe that was the polish slant!
I left her in the hands of an old lady walking a dog to finish off her journey. Shook hands and wished her luck! I carried on down into Newhaven and then followed the river back to Piddinghoe village and back through the farm opposite my home. .
