Tuesday evening and the usual suspects gathered on Konak Terrace for the regular weather-permitting fish bbq+potluck.  Very mild after a gentle weather day, and completely dark before 8pm, we talked by candlelight and and twinkling lights on the Bosphorus as our backdrop,  our company augmented by the very welcome presence of J who retired three years ago from this place and is just passing through for a couple of days on his way from the States to Dubai for a conference.  Always a tonic to see him.

Go sober for October - another friend donated today to support my fund raising efforts for Macmillan Cancer Relief.  Eleven days to go....
