The bridge crosses the Colorado River.
As traffic and vehicles got heavier, a new bridge was required. Built in 1995, the state decided to keep the old bridge close to new.
The 1929 marvel of engineering is now a walking bridge.
The rare California Condors frequently roost on the steel beams. This afternoon 4 flew very near us. I snapped one image I really like, but iTunes gets cranky when I try to move images from my computer to my phone.
